It seems the ex-Jenifa’s Diary star Juliana Olayode who was known as Toyosi in the comedy series is making a plan to reconcile with her ex-friend Funke Akindele. She revealed this from her tweet.
Juliana’s tweet has ended with #ThanksForPicking, many believe she will be referring to Funke Akindele in order to reconcile with her. The tweet reads in full;
I finally made the call It was so good hearing your voice again I love you and I miss you I hope we laugh together again soon
#thankyouforpicking#youknowiloveyou#imissyou
It can be recalled that in a message during the last days of March, Funke Akindele has shared on Instagram, the Jenifa’s Diary star (Toyosi) said she would not stop making people become celebrities in the movie industries even if they won’t appreciate it.
According to the CEO of Scene one productions, “only God repays kindness, so expect less from people you have helped.” Although Funke did not mention any names and didn’t even personalize the message, many people even pointed fingers at ex-Jenifa star, Juliana Olayode a.k.a Toyo baby to be the main person in Funke’s rants. The duo has not been friends since Toyosi stops acting in the comedy series.
Sources close to the two friends said money was the main issue of their conflict. Apparently, Funke removed Toyo baby from the series because she was requesting for more pay a source disclosed to TNS. Akindele through her production manager and younger sister Abimbola pays actors between N3,000 and N150,000 (per episode/season of the show) depending on their role in her comedy series.
Funke didn’t go down well with Toyo’s request, because she felt Toyo was an ingrate since she rose to limelight through her appearance on the popular show. Also, actors Lota Chukwu, Omotunde Lolo 1, Falz D Bahd Guy (who has since exited the show) and Olayode are the highest paid actors who take home N150,000 per season. The rest take home much less.
