The Biafra Nations Youth League, (BNYL), has announced that they will not able to tolerate any attack from the Fulani Herdsmen on any of their territories. The group said they would attack the herdsmen that are terrorizing the country.
The BNYL disclosed this in a statement in their reaction to the recent attack that was carried out on Avar Mbalom in the Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State where 19 persons were killed including reverend fathers by the killer herdsmen.
In a statement that was being signed and made available to reporters on Thursday by the group’s leader, Princewill Richard, BNYL had condemned the attack and warned of a possible revenge should if any of the Eastern states be attacked by herdsmen.
The statement said:
“Herdsmen menace has become a thing that bothers our Organization, we talk about it and how to tackle those sponsored ones almost everyday.
“I want to make it known that any sponsored attack in any of the Eastern State especially areas bothering Benue, such as Cross River, Ebonyi and Enugu, we will launch a surprise attack on them.
“We have nothing to fear, we are battle ready.”
The group had issued out a warning to the security agencies against arresting any of its members due to their alleged threats, stressing that there is no amount of intimidation that will stop its members.
“We also want to use this medium to pass a message across to the security agencies of the country. Because we understand news like this trigger them. We will not be initimadated, our members are battle ready and we are ready to die for the peace of our land”
