A video showing Kogi West Senator Dino as he threatening to commit suicide and put the police that detained him in trouble has emerged online.
If you can recall the trouble initially started on Monday when he was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja when he was about making a trip to Morrocco for an official engagement.
Before he was being detained, the police had pronounced him wanted. He was declared wanted alongside a man by name Mohammed Audu, son of an ex-governor of Kogi State, Abubakar Audu.
According to the Police, the pair has also been placed on Interpol watchlist for providing fake information to the police in affiliation to an allegation of attempted murder on Dino Melaye’s life sometime last year.
Dino was detained and he was later released. Then redetained again and transferred to SARS officers.
He had tried to escape from the security officers after he was detained at the airport. But later on Monday, the policemen entered his apartment at Shanga Street, Maitama, Abuja where they stayed all night just to arrest him.
On Tuesday morning, Dino Melaye surrendered to the SARS Officers after some of his senator friends have received assurances from some of the police personnel that he would not be taken to Lokoja where he might be assassinated.
The policemen drove Dino Melaye away in a white Hiace bus that was accompanied by three other vehicles to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad facility at Guzape, Abuja.

Senator Dino was taken to the hospital, first, he was taken to the Zanklin Hospital, Mabushi, Abuja, then later, National Hospital after he jumped off the police van that was in motion at Area One Roundabout, Garki, in order to prevent the police from taking him to Lokoja, Kogi State.
The police revealed that they were taken him to Kogi State where they had planned to parade him in front of the media along with six other suspects for alleged criminal conspiracy.
Dino had engaged the policemen in a clash during which he had an injury which made him be admitted n in the hospital.
It was gathered that Dino, on suspecting that the police were coveying him to Kogi State, had to engage the officers in the bus in a clash and managed to jump out of the vehicle after it was blocked by unknown vehicles around 2.10pm.
The force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, said in a statement that the lawmaker was aided by miscreants to escape, adding that he was later trailed to the Zanklin Hospital.
“At about 1200hrs of today (Tuesday), Senator Dino Melaye, while in lawful custody of the Nigeria Police Force personnel and being taken for arraignment in Federal High Court, Lokoja from Abuja, escaped from lawful custody when hoodlums and miscreants in two Toyota Hilux vehicles blocked the police vehicle conveying Senator Dino Melaye around Area 1 Roundabout, Abuja and in the process the senator jumped out of the police vehicle through the window and was rescued from the policemen by hoodlums and miscreants to an unknown destination.
“The police team reinforced and trailed Senator Dino Melaye to Zankli Hospital, Abuja where he was re-arrested.
“The Senator would be arraigned in court without further delay.”
