An undergraduate student of the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, by name Akintunde Adegunloye, was discovered dead in Ondo town situated in Ondo state in his friend’s house.
According to reports, the deceased went to visit his friends who are both pharmacists and also youth Corpers at the State Specialists Hospital. Akintunde died in the corpers’ lodge around 10 pm in the night.
Femi Joseph, the state Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, had confirmed the incidence and he said the cause of the death is not yet known and that the investigation into the case has started since the incident occurred.
“The deceased paid his friends a visit in Ondo. The friends were NYSC Corps Member Pharmacists who are serving at the hospital.
We learnt that the friends got home on the fateful day and found him (deceased) dead in the room. We have invited the two Corps Members and as I am speaking with you, they are still with us. We are interrogating them on the matter,” Joseph said.
