Embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, denied media reports that his Abuja home was raided by the operatives of the EFCC. News went round on social media this evening that the home of the Chief Justice had been surrounded by EFCC officials.
Reacting to the report, the Senior Special Adviser to the CJN on media, Awassam Bassey, said the reports is fake. Speaking to newsmen who besieged Onnoghen’s home, Bassey said
“I really don’t know where they got the information from. So many media men were here earlier with cameras over the same report. But what I can tell you for now is that there was no such thing. It is false news”.
