EX-President Olusegun Obasanjo – ‘Buhari Failed Nigerians, Don’t Vote Him In 2019’

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has once again slammed Buhari’s administration, by warning Nigerians ‘not to reinforce failure by re-electing ineffective and incompetent government come 2019.’

Obasanjo has sent a letter to President Buhari advising him not to re-contest in the 2019 general elections, blasting his government again when he spoke while receiving the Chima Anyaso led New Nigeria group at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library in Abeokuta, Ogun state yesterday Monday, April 2nd.

Speaking, the ex-president said;

”Never you reinforce failure. Let failure be failure. And if you do not see what you should see, you will then be a victim of what you don’t like because it’s only when you see what you should see and you do what you should do that you put away what you do not like. Those of you who are into business know that by now you could have been better if we have an effective government. The truth is this – when you have an ineffective and incompetent government, we are all victims and don’t let anybody deceive you.” he said

He also advised Nigerians to ignore the apology and reform claims made by the opposition party, PDP.

”Stop giving excuses; we met challenges. If there were no challenges, then we wouldn’t need you to come. You came in because you know there were challenges… stop giving us excuse that you have many challenges, that is why you haven’t achieved results. I have publicly said and I mean it, that as a party, neither PDP nor APC can get us there as they have been. Never mind about reforms and apology and all that.”.

  1. The world is moving faster in terms of modernity. The world is now a global village; educationally, technologically and scientifically driven. We need to vote a young vibrant educated and intelligent person who can move Nigeria in pace of economy development across nations; reason innovatively and analytically enabling a reduction in the cost of living thereby increasing the standard of living. Not forgetting to promulgate a law enabling political office holders to be prosecuted for any embezzlement while in office. Also a leaders with zero tolerance for insecurity and unlawfulness.

  2. Is a pity that most of us are so myiopic and sentimental when addressing issues. We don’t need any body to tell is that this government is incompetent and have no direction. There are so many competent leaders in the north that can do the job better.PMB has lost it. I voted fot him and don’t have regret doing that.

  3. It is frightening and very worrisome that many Nigerians are reacting to BABA OBJ’s action with skepticism. It is more worrisome that the majority of Nigerians who have no say in the direction of governance and the way they are been lead by the a\leadership see no wisdom in what BABA is saying and doing!
    If there is anybody in this country today who understand the way things are and have great concern for the peril ahead, BABA OBJ is one of them. He is sounding alarm ahead of time and warnings to everybody. Surprisingly many are plot-icing these warnings and throwing caution to the wind. It is better to heed the warning and avoid disaster than asking questions about who caused the problem. A word is enough for the wise. Good governance or bad, the common man is more vulnerable than OBJ.

  4. Well, Baba obj, u need not to claim naeveil (ignorant)l about the country situation, are u not the same person who tore ur PDD party card ?, well are u not in this country as boko haram, where killing people in different places, do u advice the country and some of ur ex military senior officers to make good steps to abolish the killing?, when the chibok girls where taken away what was ur contribution to help in finding find them out, BABA OBJ, u ar contradicting things, u are not helping situation, voice out , bring out ways or idea that people can benefit not at this late ours that thing are going harder, There are still elder statesmen like u , meet them talk way out, if PMB is not doing well call on him and iron things out. in fact baba obj. pls u ar elder, we dont expect u saying this now, when P M B came on board he complain the treasurey was empty what was ur action, am not in support of any any rather way out of the situation of my belov country, WE SHOULD NOTE SOON WE SHALL GET BACK TO GOD, ITS A GAME WHICH SHALL SOON BE OVER ,EVERY ONE CALL GOD, EVERY MOST GO BACK TO GOD AS WE ALL COME FROM GOD.
