The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency announced a new price band of N140.80 to N143.80 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol.

Sources at the Abuja headquarters said this change is because of the increase in global crude oil prices.

A circular released on Wednesday July 1, from the PPPRA to marketers reads;

“After a review of the prevailing market fundamentals in the month of June and considering marketers’ realistic operating costs, as much as practicable, we wish to advise a new PMS pump price band of N140.80-N143.80 per litre for the month of July 2020.

All marketers are advised to operate within the indicative prices as advised by the PPPRA.”

ImMarch 2020, the federal government, announced that the retail price of petrol would be adjusted monthly to reflect realities in the global crude oil market. On May 31, 2020, the PPPRA announced a price band of N121.50 to N123.50 per litre for the product.

  1. The present government has ever been weak and fragile. Their fragility has put this country into poverty and undeveloped one. How can you reduce fuel pump few months ago and increased it again when the price of crude at the international market has not increased. This is the kind of government I called bitter government. Very bitter

  2. This has shown that the government in every ramification is evil and a total failure. How can this wicked and satanic government be so insensitive to the acute plight of the less privileged that make up over 80% of the populace? The palliatives they’ve been making much noise about is a ruse which has hardly been given to the people. They shall never escape the fierce judgment and punishment of God. Let’s watch and see how all of them shall end soonest.

    • I have never seen a confused government like this in my life . People with worn-out brains how can dey be thinking they fooling the active brains. This is a childish government we have in Nigeria . Immature government. Intact government that rules by probability. It’s was as if they are found in the gamble hall. What a mess! Who is fooling who? Rubbish!
