A 30-year-old man by name Ibrahim Lawal had anal se.x with two boys in Katsina, and he has been detained by the State Police.
The man who is a commercial grinding machine operator by occupation was being remanded in the Katsina prison till April 30, 2018, had on countless occasions se.xually molested these two boys before he was taken to the police on March 28, 2018, by their parents.
Inspector Sani Ado, the police prosecutor, who told the court that investigation was still going on and also sought an adjournment, revealed that Lawal had agreed to commit the offences. It was further gathered that he has threatened to kill them should they tell anyone about what has been going on.
Punch reported that the accused man was charged with ‘unnatural offence and criminal intimidation,’ which the police stated were contrary to sections 284 and 397 of the Penal Code. Lawal’s plea was however not taken by the police, as the court said it is only the high court that has the right jurisdiction to handle the matter.
“You were brought here for cognizance purpose; your case is triable only by the high court,” the magistrate, Hajia Fadile Dikko, stated.
This is coming after the 43-year-old man was alleged to be a former convict, Maiwada Ibrahim, of Lambun Danlawae quarters, Katsina State, was detained for engaging in anal se.x with two 15-year-old boys.
Sources have it that one of the boys has told his mother how he was molested se.xually by the suspect, who the mother later informed the father. The father was said to have reported the weird incident at the Central Police Station, Katsina State.
Ibrahim had invited the two boys to his house, where they all watched po.rnographic film together so that he can lure them.
“Having aroused the victims, the suspect had se.x with them through the anus. He gave them N200 each after the act.
“One of the boys, who was uncomfortable, informed his mother who reported the incident to his father, who then lodged a complaint at the police station,” one of the sources said.
