A Japanese man by name Masazo Nonaka has been named by Guinness World Records, on Tuesday as the world’s oldest man that’s living on planet earth. The man is 112-year-old.
Nonaka, who lives in a family-run hot spring inn on the northern island of Hokkaido, has obtained a certificate from Erika Ogawa, the deputy president for Japanese record-keeping organization.
The ex-inn owner in the town of Ashoro is now fond of spending time with his adorable family and also enjoys reading newspapers, watches TV according to Guinness.
Nonaka was born on the 25th of July 25, just months before Albert Einstein has published his special theory of relativity. In 1931, Nonaka walked down the aisle with Hatsuno and went on to have five children with his spouse.
Masazo Nonaka has seven brothers and only one sister, who lives nearby in the town.
He was giving a certificate as the world’s oldest man after Francisco Nunez Olivera in Spain that died in January at the age of 113 years old.
“I am happy to have lived to see many generations. I never thought this could be possible especially what I experienced during the great wars” Nonaka had said
“Mr. Nonaka’s achievement is remarkable – he can teach us all an important lesson about the value of life and how to stretch the limits of human longevity,” said Craig Clenday, Guinness World Records’ editor-in-chief.
The world’s oldest living person is Nabi Tajima, a 117-year-old from the southern Japanese prefecture of Kagoshima, this was disclosed to the US-based Gerontology Research Group.
She was born on the 4th of August, 1900. Guinness World Records is investigating likely contenders for the title of the oldest living person on earth as no one has been named since Violet Brown from Jamaica died in July 2017, aged 117.
Japan, is known for the longevity of its people, has been home to numerous oldest title holders, including Jiroemon Kimura, who passed away in June 2013 at the age of 116.
