The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has finally reopened the testing center in Kano .
The testing center was temporarily shut down on April 22, after it ran out of testing kits, and there was also news of some the workers contracting the virus.
Nigerians have since queried the continous suspension of COVID-19 testing in the state which has recorded many mysterious deaths.
NCDC Director General, Chikwe Ihekwazu announced the reopening of the testing center on his Twitter handle this afternoon.
”Thanks to incredible efforts of a joint Team from @NCDCgov @KNSMOH @aminukanoth & our partners, the #COVID19 lab at AKTH, Kano is back up & testing has resumed A 2nd lab at Bayero University Kano will be activated tomorrow Not where we want to be yet, but will #keeppushing”.
