A millionaire and philanthropist known as Engr. Ndubuisi Emenike hails from Imo State. Engr. Ndubuisi On Wednesday 11th April 2018 decided to enter the popular World Bank Market in Owerri which happens to be the capital city of Imo State.
He entered the market as a pauper that needed help and surprisingly to him, he got little attention from people.
According to Darlington Flowrymz Ibekwe, that shared the story on social media, the multi-millionaire who acted as a beggar – went round the market to ask for a sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) and so many people didn’t give him attention.
People mocked at him, some of them drove him out of their shops angrily, but in all these, he kept quiet and kept asking.
Later, a lady gave him one thousand naira and another person gave him a thousand naira again making it the total amount of money that he requested for which is two thousand naira.
He collected the money they gave to him and after a moment, he called out the two ladies. To the amusement of the entire market people, his personal entourage of over seven (7) luxury cars drove in and he brought out fresh cash bundles and rewarded the ladies with Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) each making it a total of Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N400,000) and also returned the cash the ladies gave to him.
The World Bank market Owerri in Imo state was totally amused as Eminike enjoined them to always assist people that are in need as they don’t know where their blessings might emerge from.
The rich man gave the reason for his action and in his words;
“Today is my daughter’s birthday Kourtney Emenike and I couldn’t think of a better way of celebrating it if not touching lives”.
